McCoy Group companies build career connections at National FFA Convention & Expo

McCoy Group companies build career connections at National FFA Convention & Expo

McCoy Group, the parent company for Foodliner and Quest Liner, is proud to return to the National FFA Convention & Expo for the third year. This year’s event will take place from Oct. 29 through Nov. 1 in Indianapolis.

With over 70,000 students, advisors, and chapters attending from across the country, this event is a vibrant celebration of youth in agriculture, leadership, and career development — and our team is ready to make a lasting impression.

Corporate recruiter Jenny DeArmond shared her thoughts on what makes the Convention & Expo so impactful.

“The quality of students that come to these events are our next leaders,” she said. “Whether it’s diesel techs, sales professionals, or future managers, these students are exactly who we want to connect with.”

McCoy Group’s booth will be more than just a place to pick up swag — though the popular FFA hats are back and better than ever. This year, the team is introducing a state-by-state registration competition, tracking which chapters bring the most visitors. This will be a fun way to engage students while celebrating the diversity of attendees.

Visitors can also enter daily raffles for students and special giveaways for advisors, including backpacks filled with McCoy Group merchandise for students and Carhart-style tool bags for chapter advisors.

Beyond the expo, McCoy Group is hosting career success tours at the Stoops Training Academy. These guided visits offer hands-on experiences across five stations, including diesel mechanic demos, parts identification, and a career panel featuring team members from sales, service, warranty, and management. This makes for a unique opportunity for students to explore real-world applications of their skills and learn about the many career paths available within the McCoy Group.

DeArmond emphasized that the recruiting team has engagement with students beyond job fairs. Recruiting teammates actively partners with local schools and FFA chapters to offer resume workshops, mock interviews, and career coaching. “Whether students come to work for us or go elsewhere, we want to help prepare them for success,” she said.

With divisions spanning transportation, logistics, construction, and forestry, McCoy Group offers a wide range of career opportunities, ranging from diesel technicians and drivers to sales and customer service roles. And while the company has grown into a national organization, it remains rooted in its Midwestern values and commitment to community.

If you’re attending the National FFA Convention & Expo, be sure to stop by our booth, #1906. Meet the team, explore career options, and join in the fun.
