Trailer Pre-loader/Yard Jockey

Foodliner is looking for a motivated individual to assist in pre-loading dry bulk and liquid tankers at our South Chicago IL location. Foodliner, Inc. is one of the largest bulk food carriers in the country and a Transport Topic Top 100 carrier.

Position will be Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, and occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Loading pneumatic and liquid bulk tankers
  • Complete a daily yard check and keep an inventory of trailer pool
  • Daily communication
  • Follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and company guidelines
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization of the yard
  • Support Terminal Manager in the operation as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Class A CDL preferred but not required and some tractor-trailer or yard jockey experience necessary. (Good MVR and safe driving record required – if applicable)
  • Pass background check, non-DOT physical and drug screen
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work some weekends
